The HeartSine defibrillator range are popular due to their compact and lightweight design, whilst also featuring a very high IP56 rating, which provides good resistance to shock, dust, and splashes of water. The ruggedness and ease of use of the various HeartSine defibrillator models establishes it as a convenient defibrillator for many environments.

Weighing only 1.1kg, we have observed where a variety of industries and individuals that require a portable defibrillator for on the go, the HeartSine is commonly selected. Individuals choosing a defibrillator for home or caravanning and camping, or industries such as marine, transport, sports clubs, or general office environment.

The different models of the HeartSine defibrillator have a few key things in common, the size, the weight, and the IP56 rating. Where the models differentiate primarily is in certain features, such as fully-automatic or semi-automatic, or the Real-Time CPR Feedback feature which detects the force and rate of the CPR being delivered.

First introduced in 2001, the HeartSine defibrillator has an innovative design for its battery and pads. Where many defibrillators have a separate set of battery and pads, the HeartSine Pad-Pak looks like a cartridge, which contains both the battery and the electrodes in a combined unit.  This Pad-Pak clips into the bottom of the AED, and can be easily replaced, or substituted with a Paediatric Pad-Pak if required.

The HeartSine 360P Defibrillator is the fully-automatic model in the range of HeartSine defibrillators. Being fully-automatic, it is recommended for use in a public access environment, a workplace, or for individual use.

Fully-automatic defibrillators are popular where the user has not been trained in First Aid or the user may be purchasing a defibrillator for home. A semi-automatic defibrillator requires the user to press the button when prompted for the shock to be delivered, a fully-automatic defibrillator does not require a button press and will automatically deliver a shock if required.

In an emergency, a fully-automatic HeartSine defibrillator can reduce the anxiety of having to press the button to provide a shock. It is also beneficial where in an emergency, the user may be experiencing a cardiac arrest, and may likely not be able to press the button, therefore, having the defibrillator automatically shock if required is preferred.

HeartSine 350P Defibrillator

The HeartSine 350P Defibrillator is a semi-automatic model. It contains the same feature set as the HeartSine 360P in the semi-automatic format, where the user is required to press the button to deliver a shock once prompted.

The HeartSine 350P is beneficial in an environment where the user prefers a little more control when the shock will be delivered.  This may be due to the rescuer requiring the patient to be moved, e.g., away from water, rain, or a dangerous environment. The rescuers may be in the process of treating the patient and may require a little extra time for all hands to be off the patient before pressing the button to deliver the shock.

HeartSine 500P Defibrillator

The HeartSine 500P Defibrillator is only available as a semi-automatic model.  This model has the added feature of real-time CPR feedback, where the AED (Automatic External Defibrillator) will provide feedback to the rescuer on the quality of CPR. Where a user has not been trained in CPR, this feature will assist in improving the quality of CPR being delivered to the patient.
